The school farm
The school farm is located two kilometers away from the school.
There are five buildings for animals and four people take care of the animals.
On the school farm, we breed dairy cows, heifers and sheep.
Concerning crops, we grow hay, barley, tobacco and maize. The size of the farm is 85 hectares.
When pupils are on the farm, they have to plant tobacco, sort it out, they have to put the straw in the animal boxes, sweep the floor and they check on the cows.The high school trophy
The high school trophy takes place in Paris, during the International Agricultural Show.
This trophy is a contest between schools. The goal is to present a cow. The presentation of the cow consists in giving the characteristics of a cow from the school. Competitors also have to present their school.
In our high school, six students, from three classes, will take part to the trophy.
They must create a blog on the trophy and a poster that presents the school.
During the International Agricultural Show, the pupils will have to answer people's questions, lead a cow in front of a jury and clip it.
The best performance will win the trophy !
